A man and woman have been arrested after the death of an 18-month-old boy in Melbourne’s outer-south-east on Monday afternoon.
- Emergency crews were called to the Langwarrin home about 4:10pm on Monday
- The boy died at the home despite attempts to save him
- Forensic police officers examined the house on Monday night
Emergency services were called to Potts Road in Langwarrin about 4:10pm after reports a child had been injured.
Police said an 18-month-old boy could not be revived despite the attempts by emergency crews.
“Police have arrested a man and a woman following the death of a child in Langwarrin this afternoon,” a spokesman said.
“Police arrested the pair at the scene and they are currently assisting with enquires.”
Homicide detectives arrived at the scene in the evening with forensic police officers, who spent several hours collecting evidence.
