The role The Senior Strategy and Commercial Manager – Own Brand position will see you leading the assessment and evaluation of strategic business opportunities and initiatives in order to drive growth, sales from innovation, share and financial performance. In this role, you will be developing strategic recommendations based on leading edge insights, in order to drive a sustainable competitive advantage for Own Brand. Moreover, you will be driving the execution of key business initiatives and governance, inclusive of the development and delivery of the Own Brand Commercial planning calendar, while collaborating with senior stakeholder across the business. Within the position’s remit, you’ll be responsible for building capability and embedding best in class private label strategy development processes across our Merchandise Business Units by working closely with senior stakeholders as a thought leader, coach and business partner. You will also have the opportunity to leverage your leadership skills by developing other team members. In this position, you will be reporting to the Head of Strategy and Commercial Own Brand. To be successful, you’ll have:

  • solid relevant experience in a similar role in the Strategy area as a Commercial Manager or Management Consultant, with knowledge of financial evaluation and modelling skills
  • proven track record in developing strategies, problem solving, complex modelling and project management
  • strong commercial acumen and strategic focus, paired up with cross functional working experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills and leadership experience
  • solid presentation and communication, including development of compelling presentation materials
  • a degree in business, finance, accounting or engineering
