Tasmania Police have confirmed two people are in custody in relation to Mr Turner’s murder, following a complex operation involving officers from the Special Operations Group, and detectives from the north and south of the state.
The Gagebrook man was fatally shot in the head and his body was found on the side of Colebrook Road near Richmond early on the morning of April 14.
A 14-year-old girl has also been charged with accessory after the fact to the man’s shooting death and faced a children’s court on Thursday where she was remanded in custody.
A 29-year-old Moonah man was also taken into custody this week, before being released.
Speaking ahead of the first series of arrests, Detective Inspector Doug Rossiter said: “We believe that there are … people in the community who know what happened to Jarrod and we encourage them to come forward and speak with police at the earliest opportunity.”
Three busloads of police recruits were brought in to search the scene where Turner’s body was found on Monday.
An autopsy was due to be carried out earlier this week.
